Reclaiming the Bust
ILLUSTRATION & CONCEPT DESIGN | PERSONAL Project
This project is a creative and feminist exploration of the female body’s shape, size, and movement, focusing on breasts as a subject.
Through a series of illustrated busts, I juxtapose organic, fluid body lines with the rigid, traditional forms of marble and ceramic sculpture.
This contrast reinterprets the conventional bust — typically static and lifeless — while playing with the double meaning of the word “bust” itself.
By capturing movement and diversity in form, the series challenges conventions and celebrates the natural, powerful essence of the female body.
